delivery and terms and conditions

For all pre-orders, orders and deliveries, my following terms and conditions apply, which are accepted upon placing the order.

Pre-orders and purchases of locomotives, vehicles, tools from the Frankfurt model railway depot are only possible after personal contact and a personal conversation; during which the prototype, the locomotive or the vehicle and/or tool material can be inspected and the technical details can be explained to the buyer and the interested party can personally get an idea of the vehicle or the product in which the person concerned is interested before a decision to order or purchase is made.

To ensure that all details and points have been understood correctly, the pre-order/purchase is documented in writing and countersigned by both parties if the decision is positive. Only then does the agreement, pre-order or purchase become valid. This provides security for both parties.

prices

You can find the prices (where indicated) on my homepage www.modellbahn-betriebswerk frankfurt.de. The prices are as stated; including statutory VAT. Discounts apply as stated. We reserve the right to make changes to prices or delivery and payment conditions.

The prices are determined according to the manufacturing effort and conversion effort. Since these are individual pieces or small series, the prices are appropriate and based on the prices of tool and machine construction. The models are not cheap goods but precisely manufactured components on precision machines in tool construction. In addition, high-quality components from suppliers are used.

The customer accepts the prices with the purchase or pre-order.

payment terms

For all customers

The goods must be paid for in full in cash upon collection or delivery by me.

The goods remain the property of Modellbahnbetriebswerk Frankfurt until full payment has been made.

After full payment you will receive the goods and an invoice.

For international customers and people from abroad

I prefer to work for customers who live or have their place of residence here in Germany because I have to meet with the customer. This provides security for both parties, both when ordering/buying and when accepting the order. However, inquiries from abroad are generally possible.

Delivery

The vehicle or article will be delivered by me personally or picked up in person on site. Depending on the value of the product (e.g. products under 100 euros), delivery can also be made by post. The customer receives detailed instructions on the product. He receives a handover protocol on which both parties confirm in writing, with their signature, that the product is OK. Delivery is free within a radius of 100km. From a radius of 100km, transport costs of 0.50 euros / km will be charged for the outward journey. The costs are borne by the customer. The costs are determined using the ADAC route planner and the shortest route. The Frankfurt model railway depot is free to choose the means of transport. In general, an attempt is always made to find the most cost-effective option, but one that also has to work reliably.

complaints

Complaints can only be considered within eight days of receipt of the goods by the customer. Complaints must always be made in writing. The goods complained about must be sent to Modellbahnbetriebswerk-Frankfurt for inspection. Returns without postage paid cannot be accepted. If the complaint is accepted, Modellbahnbetriebswerk-Frankfurt will reimburse the postage costs incurred.

severability clause

Should any of these terms and conditions be invalid or be declared invalid by a final court ruling, the validity of the remaining terms and conditions shall remain unaffected.

Place of performance - place of jurisdiction

Place of performance and jurisdiction is Frankfurt am Main. Changes, errors and delivery options as well as all rights reserved.

revocation

The customer can revoke a concluded contract in writing within 14 days without giving reasons. A simple letter to the Modellbahnbetriebswerk-Frankfurt is sufficient for this. To meet the revocation deadline, it is sufficient to send the revocation in good time. All special orders and customer-specific custom-made products are generally excluded from revocation, provided this has been specified in writing in the contract.

ordering process

Orders are placed after contact and personal discussion with the owner of the Modellbahnbetriebswerk-Frankfurt.

For all customers

Once the goods have been checked and are ready for dispatch, the customer will receive a written message by post from the Modellbahnbetriebswerk-Frankfurt containing all the information regarding delivery.

Quality assurance and equipment of the models

The Model Railway Depot Frankfurt only sells and delivers tested and run-in vehicles that meet the high quality standards of the depot. The Model Railway Depot Frankfurt accepts no liability and/or guarantee for any defects/incorrect operation on the customer's systems.

All details of the model are shown to the customer in the preliminary discussion. Requests for more detail are not possible, as these would be too varied and would exceed the capabilities of the railway depot. The model can only be purchased as it was produced in the Frankfurt model railway depot.

The Frankfurt model railway depot is primarily concerned with the drive technology. External details on the vehicles are only partially changed or remain unchanged.

The drive technology is designed for real conditions as they occur on the real railway. The vehicles are tested on flat terrain and on mountain routes with a 3.5% gradient. No guarantee and/or liability is accepted for excessive train lengths or train weights or for improper operation or handling that leads to damage to the vehicle.

The Frankfurt model railway depot does not produce new vehicles but rather equips older vehicles with better technology. These are therefore conversions. This is sustainable, environmentally friendly and saves resources. Old vehicles can thus become a very personal, individual treasure.
